Phase One of Renovations Completed – on to Phase Two!

JFS Orlando received a grant for over $150,000, the largest grant in 2016, through the Orange County Community Development Block (CDBG) grant program. The funds will be used to assist with much needed agency renovations including replacing air conditioning units, installing new sewer lines, creating a new lobby space and upgrading the building entry to be ADA accessible. The renovations are not complete as JFS Orlando was awarded the Orange County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $75,804 to transform the back section of the building into a mental health counseling center; create an ADA-compliant handicap ramp at the rear of the building (that faces Lee Road) for a new counseling center entrance, which will give clients privacy upon entering the building; replace the exterior building doors to increase ADA compliance; and replace the carpeting in the agency offices.
