Your Support Makes a Difference!

Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando relies on the generosity of individuals, local businesses and the broader community to support our mission to “provide vital, quality and innovative social services to people in need.” Your contribution is the lifeline that allows us to touch so many lives.

Consider an investment in JFS! Your money will create positive social returns and allows for a sustained tradition of caring for the hungry, troubled, ill, isolated and aged in our community. JFS welcomes contributions by check or credit card, stock donation and gifts through planned giving. Your contribution is tax deductible, and we will provide you with proper acknowledgement of your donation.

  • TRIBUTE CARDS

Cards of tribute can be sent for any occasion. You may want to congratulate a friend or loved one, send an expression of sympathy, extend happy birthday, happy anniversary or get well wishes or to honor someone. The minimum donation for a tribute card is $18.00. You will receive a note of thanks and the recipient of your donation will receive a card indicating that a donation has been made in honor or in memory of a loved one.

  • NAMED CONTINUITY FUNDS

With $5,000 you can honor or memorialize a loved one or a special occasion in a personally meaningful way. As your contribution continues to grow through prudent investment, the programs or services you care about most will receive your annual distributions forever.

  • DONOR ADVISED FUNDS

You can establish yourself as a philanthropist, with your own "mini-foundation." Donor Advised Funds enable you to recommend distributions to JFS. These funds bypass capital gains taxes on long-term appreciated securities and offer the maximum tax deduction available. A contribution of $5,000 is required and allows you to tax a deduction today and allows you to make recommendations, now or in the future, to JFS’ programs or services..

  • BEQUESTS

By including JFS as a beneficiary of your will or trust, your memory lives on as a shining light, both for those who will directly benefit from your generosity and for those who will be inspired by your example.

Call JFS at 407-644-7593 for more information.

  • LIFE INSURANCE

You can contribute a life insurance policy to us by naming us either as the owner of the policy or simply as the beneficiary. If you name us as owner and beneficiary, you will be entitle to an income tax deduction limited to the lower of the value of the policy or your cost basis in the contract. In addition, if you continue to pay premiums on a policy that we own, you can deduct the premium payments.

  • LIFE INCOME

Life Income gifts allow you to receive an income as a result of making a charitable gift. Depending upon the plan you chose, the income can be fixed or variable and can be for you or other beneficiaries you chose. For example, you might create a charitable remainder trust to pay income to you for life and contribute money, stock or other property to it. Once placed in the trust, the assets can be sold (without capital gains tax) and the proceeds reinvested to produce a higher yield. Life income gifts entitle you to an immediate income tax deduction, which is based upon the present value of your gift to us.
