In Central Florida, the rate of family homelessness is 1 in 50 households. The poor economy has affected housing, employment, mental health, and several other factors leaving many households to survive paycheck to paycheck.

These and other factors can impact a person’s ability to provide for themselves or their family. JFS’ Emergency Services program lends a helping hand to those who qualify by providing emergency financial assistance for basic needs, such as rent, mortgage or utilities.

If you are in need of financial assistance, please call the Heart of Florida United Way 2-1-1 hotline to be screened for an appointment. All appointments are scheduled through United Way. Please call either 2-1-1 or 407-839-4357.
